MY PRACTICE
Welcome! If you made it here, you’re already doing the work! My name is Megan Gleicher and I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, former teacher, and mom to four amazing kids.
I received her bachelor's degree in education from Florida Atlantic University (go Owls!) and put my skills to work teaching in the elementary school setting for 15 years. After realizing the importance of creating safety and connection coupled with my own experiences, I graduated with my master’s degree in social work from Florida State University (now, go Noles!). When I'm not in the office, I enjoy going to CrossFit, the beach, or hanging out with my family and friends.
TREATMENT FOCUS
As a clinician, I meet you where you are and walk alongside you to where you want to be. My clinical experience includes working with people of all ages providing individual counseling, group therapy, and creating connections to community-based resources. I have lived eating disorder experience and come from an anti-diet and health at every size (HAES) aligned perspective.
Using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I combine my clinical training with my warm personality to create a safe and healing space. I provide a balance of compassionate challenging, listening, conversation, and humor to help you bring balance into your own life.
