MY PRACTICE
Life is constantly changing, and transitions can be tricky! Working through life changes takes time and patience. I can help you find the skills to manage change effectively and make progress towards your personal goals.
My name is Josey Alois and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2003 with my BA in European Affairs, at this time I continued to grow my passion for working with children through dance. I decided to continue on to complete my M.Ed. in Community Counseling in 2012 from DuPaul University. Since then I have been able to foster my passion for providing mental health care to children, adults, and families for over 10 years.
TREATMENT FOCUS
I strongly believe therapy should be a partnership between the two of us, collaborating to address the issues you want to focus on. I particularly enjoy treating younger children and families. I believe working with the entire family towards building new methods of support, communication and engagement is vital in creating meaningful change.
Additionally, I work with adults who are managing through life transitions. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered therapy, Play Therapy techniques and Psychodynamic models to effect change and help implement new life skills.
