MY PRACTICE

Welcome! My name is Marilyn Jackson and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am here to help guide you on the journey to a healthier mindset. I provide therapy sessions in both English and Spanish, in person and virtually!

I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in August 2018 with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have over 5 years of experience working with individuals and families. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to express your thoughts and feelings in order to achieve your goals.

TREATMENT FOCUS

I work with children displaying difficulty with expression through unwanted behaviors and adjustment periods. I utilize Play Therapy techniques to support your child towards their goals, through us age appropriate interventions. Together as a team, I work with parents to provide the support and tools needed to encourage wanted behaviors through positive praise. 

Additionally, I work with adults, and couples looking for ways to overcome anxiety, stress, decreased self-esteem, relationship difficulties, parenting support and life stressors.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to meet the specific needs of every individual and help them learn to cope with life challenges.

I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to take the first step towards help. I am a firm believer that taking a moment to slow down and provide yourself with the self-care you need makes you a refreshed, stronger, more productive, and an overall happy human.
